The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications.
You do not need to be a town resident to drop off prescription drugs. Please find the closest location to where you live, work, or will be traveling, and drop them off. Prescription drugs should not be put in the trash, down the sink, or flushed down the toilet. Here is a great article about prescription drugs and how they get in our drinking supply. Lingering drugs can also be dangerous for children and pets if not properly disposed of or locked up.
